Case Description – Guidance for Completion
Please describe the pathology in detail, including all relevant diagnostic findings, the affected anatomical region, and the planned surgical procedure. This information is essential for accurate customisation of patient-specific 3D models and surgical guides.
Include a description of the intended surgical technique, such as:
- Osteotomy type and location
- Reduction strategy
- Planned fixation method
- Implant positioning and orientation
Please also specify all planned implants and instrumentation, including:
- Screws (type, diameter, length, supplier/manufacturer)
- Pins and Kirschner wires
- Plates and fixation systems
- Drill bits and drill sleeves intended for use
Drill bit diameters and implant systems are particularly important, as this directly influences guide design and accuracy.
Clearly indicate which anatomical structures should be:
- Included in the 3D model and surgical guide
- Excluded from the model or guide
- Protected or avoided during guide placement and drilling
This is critical to ensure accurate model generation, optimal guide fit, and avoidance of interference with important anatomical structures such as joints, neurovascular structures, tooth roots, spinal canal contents, or articular surfaces.
Providing comprehensive surgical and anatomical details helps ensure that the final 3D models and surgical guides are specifically designed for the individual patient and support safe, accurate, and efficient surgical execution.
